DJ Services

Describe your DJ style.
Our style is modern and laid back. Our philosophy is that the couple is the center of attention-
not the DJ. We let our music and the event speak for itself! We do announcing, organize and
create a play list (with you) and implement a smooth timing of events in the time alloted. We do
our best to keep the dance floor full! We work together to get the feel you are looking for.

How many other DJs do you work with?
We are not a multi-DJ company. I am the main DJ and do all announcing. I work with my
husband, Mark
. He is my extra set of eyes and my sound guy.

Do you have replacement DJs in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
Yes.

Do you specialize in any ethnic and/or international events?
We are available for any type of event!

Is the bride able to meet the DJ before booking?
We encourage at least one meeting, if not more. We take pride in our communication with
clients.  We also provide a state-of-the-art planning site for your music needs!

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the couple, do you require that they
provide it?
No. Just let us know what the song is and we will get it! If it is an original (i.e. from a band they
know/song written and performed by another) and unavailable for purchase or download, we
would then need a copy of it.  

What is your usual attire?
Semi-formal. Usually black dressy top and nice pants. NO jeans.

Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. See our equipment page to see the set up, lighting, etc.

Do you offer special equipment into your service?
We offer a small gobo (custom logo additional), small fogger, Par 38 lighting system, Chaser, X-
Ray, Starlight 2.  

What is your minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
For a wedding, it is 5 hours. We can make other arrangements if a special situation arises, but
generally it is 5 hours.

Do you usually emcee the reception and/or talk between songs?
We will emcee as per couple's/client's specifications. We will do the appropriate announcement
duties, but do not do a lot of talking. Again, the event should speak for itself!


Do you take any breaks?
No.  Someone is ALWAYS present at the table and music will always be played at all times.

Do you require a meal? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
We request a meal to be provided since we will be working during mealtime hours, but it is NOT
a requirement. We eat at our table (hidden behind our facade).


How much time do you usually need to set up?
We always arrive at least 1 1/2 hours prior to the event.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
We try to see a venue beforehand to judge the space needed. We ALWAYS contact the venue
coordinator to discuss logistics.  
If a venue can provide a table-great! If not,  we have one as well
as skirting for it.


What is your overtime rate?
$50 per half hour.  

Do you charge for travel expenses?
If the venue is far away from our home location, a mileage fee will be assessed.

                                       Planning/Coordination

How many planners do you work with?
We almost always provide an assistant. It depends on what is needed.

What style of wedding/event do you specialize in planning?
ANY!

Do you support or cater to any specific cultures/religions?
We can work with any type or denomination.

What sizes of weddings have you coordinated in the past?
We have worked with guest lists ranging from 75-300.

Which venues have you worked/ so far?
Long Vue Club, Bradley House, Edgewood Club, The Circuit Center, Magnolia Room, PNC
Park, Oakmont Country Club, The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, The Priory, Soldiers &
Sailors and many more!!!


Do you oversee the rehearsal?

Yes we do. At no extra charge.

Do you stay for the entire event?

Yes! We are there
from beginning to end! We also handle cleaning up/packing up of client
items/shuttle coordination, etc.


Do you charge for a first consultation?
No. There is no obligation to use our services. Once we are hired, there are unlimited
consultations. Communication is the key to a great event!

Can you work with any budget?
Yes we can! Whether your budget is $10,000 or $100,000 we can help!

Why do I need a planner?
A planner can save you money. We offer ideas that you may not have considered, eliminates
most "what-if" situations, have a pool of vendors
of all budgets who reputation and service are
impeccable, and takes the stress away from planning and day of! We are there to ensure a
perfect day. You will focus on what's important -- having a great time!
           
            
               Invitations and projects

How do you charge for your projects?
Price varies based on what you want/what is needed and usually is on a whole. We charge you
for all materials
, plus a design, create and assemble fee. However, we are able to obtain
significant discounts for our printing and supplies
to save you money!  

Our goal is to soon offer a flat rate based on number needed or by invite.

What kind of projects do you offer?
We offer customized pocket fold invitations (but can do other styles as well), menu cards,
programs, out-of-town brochures, table numbers and much more. We can do almost anything
you can think of.

Will I get what I want?
Yes you will! We will be in touch constantly from the time of hire, getting your ideas and vision.
We will send you documents of the work in progress so that we can edit and enhance based on
your specifications.
You will be amazed at our detail and communication! You will not get this
service anywhere else!!

How long does it take?
It depends on the project/amount of projects. There is so much detail and thought that goes into
every project. We also need the time to order supplies. So, the earlier we know, the better.

Is this your full-time job?
Yes, it is! This is our passion. You get our full attention as well as individualized and prompt
service.


Why do you offer so many different services?

We have such love for this industry and are multi-talented! It only makes sense to offer these to
you!  For instance, when hiring us as your DJ, you are getting someone with planning and
coordination experience who will know what to do in certain situations and notice things
someone else may not. We also can offer you great vendor referrals!

As your planner/coordinator, we will know exactly what the DJ's abilities are, as well as
developing the time line. In addition, we can offer so many ideas for you for your play lists and
dances. You will get the attention to detail that you won't get anywhere!

Can we use more than one of your services?

Yes, but this will need to be discussed in thorough detail. Extra personnel will need to be
assigned on packages like this.
